We’re three weeks into the college football season, and thanks to Hurricane Irma, it took two weeks for every NFL team to get their season opener in the books.

Now that the football universe has gotten a healthy dose of both pro and college action, it’s time to take another stab at mocking the first round of the 2018 NFL draft?

Why, you ask?

Why do we do anything else? Because it’s fun, people.

So, using the latest Super Bowl odds from Vegas Insider to set the draft order, let’s do this.

1. New York Jets | Josh Rosen | QB | UCLA

All of this year’s top quarterback prospects have already proven they’re not superhuman, with costly mistakes and poor decisions leading to disastrous results. That said, I still think Rosen is doing the most with the least, and his combination of physical tools, playing style and ability to come through in the clutch give him the edge at No. 1, where the Jets desperately need to hit a home run.

2. San Francisco 49ers | Sam Darnold | QB | USC

Darnold isn’t far behind, as he has some of the same things that make Rosen such a difference-maker at the game’s most important position. He’s still a work in progress without a ton of experience under his belt, but he’s growing fast. The 49ers need a true franchise passer like him to build around.

3. Cleveland Browns | Derwin James | S | Florida State

Regardless of how this season goes, I doubt the Browns would give up on DeShone Kizer next offseason. They need to keep adding as much pure talent as possible at every position, and James is my top overall prospect in this class.

4. Chicago Bears | Arden Key | EDGE | LSU

We know the Bears love explosive edge rushers with big bodies and long arms (Leonard Floyd). Key added some quality bulk to his 6-6 frame this offseason, and after missing the first two games of the year due to injury, looks poised to follow last year’s 12-sack season with another strong campaign.

5. Washington Redskins | Saquon Barkley | RB | Penn State

There are tons of bodies in the Washington backfield, but you could mix them all together and not get as much talent as Barkley brings to the table in one total package. He’s got the size, power and explosiveness to be a big-play machine on all three downs.

6. Indianapolis Colts | Harold Landry | EDGE | Boston College

You can never have enough pass-rushers, and the best way to fix an ailing pass defense is to get after the quarterback more often. Landry led the FBS in sacks a year ago, and his technique and versatility will make him an immediate-impact player at the next level.

7. New Orleans Saints | Minkah Fitzpatrick | DB | Alabama

Another team that desperately needs to improve in the secondary, Fitzpatrick’s versatility and nose for the big play would be a welcome addition for New Orleans on the back end. Whether he’s lined up at safety, outside, in the slot or returning kicks, he’s a highlight waiting to happen.

8. Los Angeles Rams | Christian Wilkins | DL | Clemson

If the Rams can’t lock up Aaron Donald with a long-term deal, the next best thing might be planning for a future without him, just in case. Wilkins is a ridiculous athlete for his size, and brings similar explosiveness to the table.

9. Los Angeles Chargers | Mason Rudolph | QB | Oklahoma State

It’s time to plan for life after Philip Rivers, and a top-10 pick in this loaded quarterback class is the perfect time to make that happen. Rudolph is off to an incredible start in 2017, and has all the physical tools to step right in and make sure the Bolts don’t miss a beat.

10. Buffalo Bills | Courtland Sutton | WR | SMU

No matter who ends up throwing passes for the Bills next season, he’ll need more weapons to get the job done. Sutton’s impressive combination of size and athleticism will be a constant headache for smaller defenders and opposing defensive coordinators.
